Getmetools.com Dropship Service

    This service is something new that I am offering to any customer outside of the US. Simply put, you place orders with various websites here in the US - then ship those items to me - then I re-package them and ship them on to you. I have been doing this for several years for other customers and I would like to expand it so I can teach my son the ropes. Right now I am a one man show and I want him to get involved to help me out. Many of you that are reading this are past & present customers of mine so you know the standards that I try to maintain for your orders.

    I will attempt to explain in the example below:

    Lets say you live in the UK for example - and lets say you purchase a product from website A for $50.00US, website B for $225.00US, website C for $100.00US, and website D for $175.00US. Your total purchase price is $550.00US.

    Shipping costs directly to you using Priority Mail:

    • The weight of website A package is 7 pounds and it would cost $47.00US to ship it directly to you.
    • The weight of website B package is 10 pounds and it would cost $56.00US to ship directly to you.
    • The weight of website C package is 15 pounds and it would cost $71.00US to ship directly to you.
    • The weight of website D package is 8 pounds and it would cost $50.00US to ship directly to you.
    Shipping cost total: $224.00US Total weight: 40 pounds
    Cost of shipping per item: $56.00US

    Shipping costs using my dropship service: (Shipping costs will be calculated using the postal service - your actual costs will vary depending on the location of the website in relation to the distance from me)

    • Website A ships directly to me: $15.00
    • Website B ships directly to me: $18.00
    • Website C ships directly to me: $8.00
    • Website D ships directly to me: $10.00
    Total cost of shipping to me: $59.00US

    Shipping cost to re-package all 4 items and ship them on to you: (There is some insurance included in the base price and full insurance is available for an additional cost)

    • Express Mail: $200.00US - Delivery in 5 days.
    • Priority Mail: $145.00US - Delivery in 6-10 days.
    My dropship fee: $20.00 + 5% of the shipping cost.

    Grand total including all fees:

    • Express Mail: $289.00US ($200.00 + $30.00 fee + $59.00 shipping to me). $72.25 per item to ship.
    • Priority Mail: $231.25US ($145.00 + $27.25 fee + $59.00 shipping to me). $57.81 per item to ship.

    This may not seem like a good example but there are other shipping options available that I explain in more detail further down the page. I could sit here all day and throw examples at you but I won't so I encourage you to visit the United States Postal Service website and see what it would cost to ship to you. You can also check out the explanations for the different size flat rate boxes that are available.

    Things to keep in mind:

    1. Some websites will only use UPS to ship overseas so actual shipping costs would almost double to ship directly to you.
    2. Some websites will not ship anything out of the US!
    3. Certain credit cards require websites to ship only to the address on the card (more on that later).
    4. It will require more time for you to receive your products.
    5. If there are only a few items you are purchasing here in the US, then it is probably cheaper to use the direct ship method.
    6. The value of the US dollar versus your currency may offer you more savings.

    Flat rate shipping options:

    A few years ago, the US Postal Service came out with 4 different sizes of Priority Mail flat rate boxes. These have a big advantage over regular Priority Mail rates as long as the items will fit into the boxes. The boxes cannot be modified in any way, shape or form and they cannot bulge from being over filled. Overseas shipments are regulated down to a maximum weight of 20 pounds (4 pounds on the small flat rate box).

    More examples for you:

    • 20 pound box to the UK:
      • $82.00US for regular Priority Mail.
      • $54.00US for large flat rate box.
      • $42.00US for medium flat rate box.
    • 20 pound box to Thailand:
      • $117.00 for regular Priority Mail.
      • $54.00US for large flat rate box.
      • $42.00US for medium flat rate box.
    • 4 pound box to UK:
      • $36.00US for regular Priority Mail.
      • $13.00 for small flat rate box.
    • 4 pound box to Thailand:
      • $38.00US for regular Priority Mail
      • $13.00 for small flat rate box.
    As you can see, the flat rate boxes are a great deal if the item(s) will fit into them! This is something that most websites don't want bothered with so you can really save some money if you do a little homework.

    Other services I offer:

    Since some credit cards require you to ship to the address on the card, I can purchase the items you need for you. This is done by me sending you a bill for all of the items you wish to purchase and after you have paid it, I will then purchase those items for you from any number of websites that you have chosen. You will be responsible for doing the research and choosing the items - all I need from you are the part numbers (or something to tell me what it is that you wish to purchase) and the website you want to purchase it from.

    The shipping fees will be billed to you after I have received the items and I determine the best way to ship them. PayPal is the preferred method of payment and you do not have to have a PayPal account to use your credit card. I have tried Google Checkout in the past and I had nothing but problems with them accepting overseas payments - that may have changed now. Money orders or other certified funds are accepted but they take additional time to get here and clear my bank so keep that in mind.

    The fees for purchasing the products for you have not been determined yet but I am thinking that it will be somewhere between 5-15% of the purchase price of the items. The higher the dollar amount for the items, the lower the fees. Keep in mind that it takes time to order the items, check them in when I receive them and then re-box them to ship them to you. I generally figure 5-10 minutes per item for all the steps involved.
